Comment preparation
Take the texts out of the boxes. Work them together and return them to their place
Some texts make no sense to work on inside a comment box: long paragraphs, fragments scattered across the whole PDF, or texts that must pass through a linguist, a translator or a proofreader and need to be seen together in a normal document.
What's failing
Comment boxes work well for short corrections and become awkward when they hold long texts or when there are dozens or hundreds of fragments another person must review, translate or edit. The professional ends up working on texts scattered across pages and comments instead of having one continuous document.
What IMC does
It temporarily turns those comments into clear references inside the PDF and gathers their texts in a Word document. When the work is finished, IMC uses that same correspondence to return each text to its original comment.
- Extract. The PDF is left with markers —
Texto 1,Texto 2…— and the Word document gathers the full contents. - Work. The proofreader, translator or linguist reviews all the texts in sequence, in a normal document.
- Restore. With the anchored PDF and the reviewed Word document, IMC returns each version to its corresponding comment.

After extracting
Texto 1 → in the PDF
Texto 1 — [full content] → in the Word document
Extracting and restoring are two independent operations charged separately: between one and the other, the review can take as long as it needs. When you reach the home page you choose which of the two you need now.
How far it goes
- The correspondence between each marker and its text must be preserved throughout the journey.
- If the identifiers are deleted, duplicated or swapped, IMC warns before restoring instead of guessing.
- The anchored PDF produced by the extraction is the restore's input: it's the file to keep.
Your files
Your files are uploaded over a secure connection and processed on a server, both when extracting and when restoring. Each process is kept for 30 days, with its files and its results, so you can continue it, and you can delete it earlier whenever you want. How we handle your files.
This journey doesn't need AI to work, so we're studying running it in your browser. When that happens, it will be said here.
Work your associated texts
We'll open "Your editorial process" on the associated-texts card, so you choose extract or restore.
Work my associated textsIn both journeys you can check the result for free before paying. Then you pay only for the final file you need.
