Comment preparation
Turn review instructions into clear changes
You're reviewing a PDF and some comments already contain exactly the text that must go in. Others are written naturally: they carry instructions, courtesy, explanations or context around the real change.
What's failing
Not everything inside a comment box should be inserted into the document.
girl is already a clean replacement; "Please change boy to girl" contains the
same change, but mixed with an instruction. Longer comments also carry
doubts, context, meta-comments and explanations that must not be mistaken for the final text.
What IMC does
It tells the comments that are already prepared apart from those needing interpretation and, where appropriate, extracts only the applicable core, keeping the proposal visible so you can verify it before applying it.
Three comments, three treatments
Reviewer's comment
girl
Please, John, change boy to girl.
I think here we should perhaps change boy to girl, as we discussed in the meeting.
What IMC proposes
girl · literal, needs no interpretation
girl · extracted from the instruction
girl · separating context and instruction
The text marked in the PDF was, in all three cases, boy.
How far it goes
- IMC doesn't try to reduce every comment to insertable text.
- A doubt, an open editorial instruction, a global change, a formatting note or a meta-comment may need another treatment or human review.
- The proposal stays visible: the decision to apply it remains yours.
Your files
Your PDF is uploaded over a secure connection and processed on a server; this operation uses AI on the comments' text. The process is kept for 30 days, with its files and its results, so you can continue it, and you can delete it earlier whenever you want. How we handle your files.
